"Under The Sea" Ocean Theme

First of many to come to my shop! I am so excited to put my designs on paper and in classrooms everywhere! I love to decorate my classroom with fancy themes and now I can share them with everyone! I hope you enjoy the first design featuring the "Under the Sea" theme! It is available as a set or individual items. Please leave me a comment if you purchase them to let me know if you like them or if there is something I need to tweak or add. I welcome great advice!

Ahoy Matey!

Ok, that title is silly! But I love our new Pirate theme. My son, the very talented Graphic Designer, designed the "pencil and ruler" pirate theme so it could really be used with any age group. I ADORE how these came out. I hope you will too! Please visit my Teachers Notebook store to purchase and download.

Teacher Tool Box

Due to 7 schools closing in our district, our school will be adding 2-3 upper grade level classes.  I have had the privilege of having 1 of only 2 LARGE classrooms at our school for the past 3 years.  Well, as of last Monday, I have been evicted from my "special island" and sent to solitary confinement!  Okay, it's not that bad but my new room is 1/3 of what I used to have and that is not a joke.  So what do I do with less space but need all my stuff?  Start getting crafty, scouring Pinterest, stalking blogs for classroom organization ideas.

My first project became "teacher supplies" organization.  I have admired the "Teacher Tool Box" for quite some time but never had a need for it until NOW! So off to Home Depot I went (at 6 AM this morning) to purchase the 22 Drawer Storage Cabinet.  Gray was not the color I had in mind so I opened (que organ music here) my paint cabinet and grabbed my "go to" paint spray.  I absolutely love Rust-Oleum Painter's touch 2X ultra paint+primer!  You just can't go wrong with this stuff! I use White in semi-gloss for my classroom and heirloom white for my house.  If it's not nailed down, I'll spray it!!

While the cabinet was drying, I started designing my drawers tags.  I have seen so many cute ones and really liked Ladybug's Teacher Files plain black labels and Mrs. Freshwater's tiny polka dot ones so I decided to use those as inspiration for my tool box.  I L-O-V-E Polka dots so of course mine had to have black and white ones.  Also, I A-D-O-R-E PINK so had to have pink in there and I have teal and green in my class so threw those colors in as well.  This is what I came up with!  I love my new little organizer and I can't wait to get back to school on Tuesday (I can't believe I just said that!) to put it to use
